Bill Boehme began woodcarving
about 20 years ago. Bill, of Buffalo, Minnesota, winters
in Fort Myers, Florida. He learned how to make fan birds about
15 years ago from a fellow carver, Wes Spadgenske, of Andover,
Minnesota. Bill has sold many birds, usually at Christmas
time. In 2007 Bill gave a demonstration on the carving process
at the Caloosa Carving Club. In 2008 he gave a mini-class with
7 members of the club. They all did such a great job, he repeated
the class the following year. Bill obtains the fan bird cutouts from
Wes Spadgenske.
