Woodcarving club for anyone interested in woodcarving All skill levels from novice to master carvers No experience necessary
WHERE: The Salvation Army Community Center 10291 McGregor Blvd (South of Colonial Blvd) Fort Myers, Florida 33919 DUES: $25 per year, October 1 through September 30 WHEN: Meets every Wednesday morning from 8:30 until noon MEMBER BENEFITS: Extensive library available for all members Periodic free novice carving classes. Come and learn All types of carving, e.g., birds, fish, animals, caricatures, relief carving, realistic figures, wood burning, chip carving, etc. Meetings all year. The majority of the members are "snowbirds", but the club meets throughout the summer months. Members are friendly and outgoing and are more than willing to assist one another if help or guidance is needed. Carving projects during the meetings are up to the members, but there is always a friendly banter and interchange between members. This adds a social aspect to the meeting in addition to the technical nature of carving. Club Show every February. This is an opportunity for all members to "show off" their carvings in the atmosphere of a noncompetitive show.
